We source and curate seasonal produce from specialist partners and then we let our open flame kitchen and our dedicated team light the way. We are passionate about live-fire cooking. For us, it speaks to craftsmanship that honours the integrity of the ingredient. The open flame is the perfect tool for our chefs to use heat and temperature to create incredible textures and flavors.
Our fascination with material honesty and high-quality design and craftsmanship goes beyond the kitchen and guides all our design decisions and creative partnerships. We’re particularly proud to support the talent in our local community and to showcase their work at every opportunity.
Nela has been conceptualized by leading chefs Hari Shetty and Ori Geller, who bring two decades of experience on the international stage. After years of working for top restaurants such as Nobu (London), Yaffo-Tel Aviv, Izakaya, The Duchess, and Mr. Porter (Amsterdam), They partnered with innovative international entrepreneur Gilad Hayeem (Waverly Group). Together, Hari, Ori, and Gilad brought their shared vision and creativity to life by establishing Nela.
